A long jacket worn over a straight dress is flattering for just about every type of figure and is brilliant for disguising a fuller bottom or thick waist.
If you are petite, then a more fitted shorter jacket can look stunning and will perfectly accentuate your trim figure.
A lovely dress with a jacket is always a popular choice because you can take the jacket off later in the evening when things begin to warm up; nearly all our dresses have short or elbow length sleeves. Alternatively, take along a matching wrap to cover your shoulders if you are self-conscious about your upper arms. We also offer short and long soft chiffon coats that are so comfortable and glamorous, you won’t want to take them off!

You will want to look elegant, and slightly understated, rather than trendy. Make sure your outfit doesn’t clash with the bride or with what the other mother is wearing.
Dressing Tips: Choose your outfit in a colour that suits your hair and complexion. Your matching hat or fascinator should complement your outfit but also suit you. Make sure a hat is worn on the crown, not on the back of your head. Fascinators are worn on the right side of your head and should feel comfortable if they are correctly positioned.
Don’t be swayed by anyone else – you have to be happy with the final look. Bride aside, all eyes will be on you!
